MYSTERIOUS RUMOURS

THE PRESENT: 
It's true, we only have two more screenings of The Present left to go, Tuesday 2nd June at The Roxy Bar and Screen in London and Friday 12th of June at the Solva Village Hall, Nr St Davids in Wales. The Present has gone down so well, folk have just been sooo stoked with the great imagery and atmosphere at the screenings, so if you can, get to these last two events.... Thomas's film comes highly recommended, just look at the comments on previous posts.
TOM WEGENER
There is a bit of a whisper on the grape vine that a certain Mr Wegener will soon be coming over to the UK to spread the Alaia gospel. All kinds of folk have been saying all kinds of stuff, so lets clear this thing up. Tom has told me that he is intending to be over here in July to share with us the secrets of the amazing Alaia craft that he has been developing over the last few years with the worlds very best surfers (Rasta, Dan Malloy, Mike Stewart even Tom Curren have been riding them) providing critical feedback. Tom is THE leader and innovator if you want the real deal on Alaia surfing, if you have seen The Present, you know what I am talking about.

Other parties are suppling Alaia kit's but they are NOT genuine Wegener blanks.
During his stay in the UK, Tom is going to be hosting 4-5 Alaia days, limited to a maximum of 8 folk per day. You'll spend the day with Mr Wegener and his family, kick back, eat and drink, learn all about Alaia surfing/shaping, watch some great short films and walk away with your own finished and signed Alaia.
Plus: If the conditions are good Tom might even take you for a slide.
Tickets will be £325 per person. It's a pretty amazing opportunity and great value, given that a finished Wegener Alaia normally costs this alone.

JOLYON HOFF
Jolyon has made a film about a certain mysto surfer named Michael Peterson (MP) and he's coming over to share his film with us in August. The film, Searching for Michael Peterson will be travelling across the UK, accompanies by Jolyon who will fill you in on the details behind the production of this amazing surf documentary.
MP is one of the most mysterious characters to have ever graced the Australian surf scene and the film sheds new light on the level of his talent and the reasons for his sudden dissaperance from surfing after winning every major Australian surf contest between '72-'77.

I think Revolver will be posting the details tomorrow, so I'd give them a bell in the morning, it will be good to get on it early.
Tom's a great chap, you're pretty much guaranteed a really fun day.

Thanks to one and all who supported the London screening at The Roxy Bar and Screen. A great night was had by all and I really hope that we can keep this as a regular event. Make sure you get down there for August 4th, when Jolyon Hoff will be presenting in search for MP!

I checked out the Wegener Alaia you had at the screening of The Present, they are amazing boards, so light and beautiful to look at and touch. I think I'll get one of those Wegener Alaia day tickets, when do they go on sale?
