Home Screening

Home, the amazing longboard film by Joseph Ryan is screening  tonight ! at The Royal cinema in St Ives. The screening will be starting at 7pm, so make sure you are there in time to bag a seat!

The line up will include:

'The life of ply': The award winning short (most inspirational film, Cornwall Film Fest 2008), documents the ply board riding antics of Dot. Featuring music from 'The Loose Salute'.

'No3' : A short, originally screened at 'Board Shorts 2007', featuring local surfers including Sam Smart, surfing a secret spot, deep in Penwith. Featuring music from the amazing John Butler.

'Jaws': An animated short by local legend Robbie (of Cornishman fame), which explores the depths beneath!

'Seaworthy' trailer: Coming to The Surf Screen in May 2009, Nathan Oldfields film making talent is hard to match.

I met Joseph in Australia last year and he is truely a great bloke, which becomes obvious, as he introduces us to his highly skilled friends, along Australia's East coast. The film is a testament to his talent, the beauty and variety of the Australian coast, and the raw powerful surfing that Australia's top longboarders exhibit. There is an appearance from Hawaiian legend Bonga Perkins and the whole thing is cut to a fantastic sound track. Check out some stills from the film below...

Sorry won't be able to make it, however I have seen "HOME" and consider it one of the best longboard movies I have seen. Well worth seeing and has a fantastic soundtrack to go with it!! Well done Joseph.
