The Surf Screen supports independent surf film makers in their practice:
Introducing Mr B:
Mr B is an affable, generous and innovative chap, always happy to give advice, work with others and stretch imaginations.
So far he is best known for his work on: Performing Monkeys, Driven and Substance, but there is much more to the man as is evident when you visit his website:http://www.mrbproductions.co.uk/ , or simply read on...

Mr B's Bio:
Starting as a hobby shooting friends surfing on an old Canon 8mm video camcorder and editing using a VCR, this would eventually lead to Mr B going back to college to study ‘Moving Image Production' in Plymouth. During college Mr B began shooting the BPSA (now UK Pro Surf Tour) competitions and through dedication and long hours on the beach he would be invited to film the Champion of Champions event in Sri Lanka. Proving his dedication and hard work, especially shooting hours in the water, Mr B would get to know some of the competitors and arranged to meet up back in the UK. A year and a half later, September 2006, and Mr B's first production ‘Performing Monkeys' would be released. Since then Mr B has gone on to shoot, edit, produce and direct the highly successful ‘Driven – Al & Cotty: A Documentary'...

... and ‘Substance' whilst also contributing footage to the bodyboarding films ‘La Familia' and ‘I Try Stupid Things'.
As for the future… hopefully collaborations with other filmmakers, musicians, and artists and a diverse range of projects to keep both Mr B and audience excited about British and Irish surfing.
More... Mr B has also been an enthusiastic supporter of Board Shorts (Cornwall Film Festival's Board Sports orientated short film event) and has put together some cracking material to entertain and inspire the assembled audience each year. In 2008 Mr B worked with a pioneering musician to produce Substance Remix, which set the venue alight. Please view some stills from the production below.

Mr B is continuing to innovate and whilst he prepares for another venture into surf movie production, we are all wondering, what amazing imagery and story will he capture to share with us all, this time?
The Surf Screen waits to support you Mr B!
